Lucio Fulci's original zombie classic is the granddaddy of the Italian undead subgenre.
After her father's boat mysteriously enters New York harbor with not a single living soul aboard, daughter Anne (Farrow) and reporter Peter West (McCulloch) head to the remote Caribbean island of Matoul to investigate.
But once there, they discover the macabre experiments of scientist Dr. David Menard (Johnson) have co-mingled with local voodoo to create a most undesirable side effect.
The dead are coming back to life...and they've got a maddening craving for human flesh!
Zombie stands as one of director Fulci's true triumphs, boasting a plethora of memorable scenes including Olga Karlatos' infamous eye gouging scene as well as the zombies' feast sequence on Susan's neck.
A smorgasbord of delights and a regular must see, this boasts a great score by Fabio Frizzi and excellent gooey effects courtesy of Giannetto De Rossi and Maurizio Trani.
Also known as either Zombie 2 or as Zombie Flesh Eaters.
