| Sci fi yarn turns to horror when overreaching Dr. Xavier (Milland) develops liquid drops to strengthen eye vision.
Testing it on himself, Xavier is delighted to see they work...and work...and work.
The effect, however, is cumulative and soon the good doctor begins to see...through everything.
As the way he 'sees' the world begins to change drastically, so his own world begins to crumble.
Ray Milland is superb as the well meaning but doomed doctor, while Roger Corman's efficient directing keeps the pace zipping along.
Part morality play, part sci fi/horror tale.
And watch out for that eye-popping finale.
