A guilty pleasure from the Master of Disaster Irwin Allen (he also did The Towering Inferno in 1974 and The Poseidon Adventure in 1972).
When a swarm of killer African bees makes its way to North America from Brazil, all hell breaks loose.
And who better to depict hell breaking loose than a football team-sized jumbo cast of All Stars, including 5 Oscar winners?
Emoting, indicating, overreaching, odd acting choices, and hamminess of all kinds are the name of the game in this bee epic.
The whole thing's an overlong disaster opus that fails to hit any climactic high note (even the burning of Houston is rather a letdown).
But with *this* cast?...How can you resist?
