Classic Hitchcock suspense is well acted by Fontaine, Grant.
Beautiful Lina McLaidlaw (Fontaine) falls in love and marries dashing, irresponsible playboy Johnnie Aysgarth (Grant).
But slowly, she comes to suspect her new hubby is out to kill her for insurance bucks.
Great acting by Grant and Fontaine, the heightened atmosphere of distrust superbly effective throughout.
Marred only by the turnaround "upbeat" ending imposed by studio execs reluctant that superstar Grant be cast as a villainous murderer. Boo! Hiss!
Don't drink that glowing glass of milk!
