Dick Smith and his crew's make-up, and nice camera work by Mark Irwin are the main reasons to bother with this confusing film.
Adapted from the novel Death Bite by Michael Maryk and Brent Monahan.
An evil snake is captured in the Caribbean and Reed develops a telepathic link to it because it murdered his brother! The snake soon grows to ungainly proportions and goes on a rampage.
Best scene? A young girl is knocked around into a bloody mess by the creature before being tossed into the glass doors of a shower stall.
Overall, however, all involved here have done better, especially director Fruet who gave us much better fare such as Funeral Home (1980) and Death Weekend (1976).
