Odd contribution to the giallo format.
After meeting new girlfriend Barbara (Kendall), Christian (Hoffman) kills an intruder and is shocked to discover the body mysteriously gone shortly thereafter.
The couple take asylum in a secret hideout. But soon Christian finds himself on a rocky path to self-discovery where nothing is what it seems. And little can be trusted.
Confused? You're not alone.
This surreal thriller from Unmberto Lenzi has its rewards in the form of good performances by both Hoffman and Kendall, as well as an overall poignant grace as it glides towards its revelations. Nice score by Morricone.
Also known as Spasm and also Gruesome Death.
