A decent title masks another subpar slasher effort.
Teenager Trish (Michaels) decides to have a sleepover at her house, while her parents are away for the weekend. She's got the guest list all ready to go. And it doesn't include the athletic new girl Valerie (Stille).
Meanwhile, there's a maniac at large armed with an electric drill. Seems our psycho has a long history of slashing nubile young things, going back well over 10 years, and Trish's slumber party has caught his murderlust!
With a woman director and a script by renowned lesbian novelist Rita Mae Brown, it only goes to prove that men aren't the only ones who can make banal films.
There's some spirited kills here, but flaccid acting, shoddy characterizations and flimsy plotting undo the whole thing.
Slasher completists will enjoy, but all others will likely feel they've seen it all before.
