Return of the Blind Dead (1973)
90 min.
Directed by Amando de Ossorio.
With Tony Kendall, Fernando Sanchez, Esperanza Roy, Lone Fleming, Frank Brana, Loretta Tovar.
Good second entry in de Ossorio's Blind Dead series.

A Portuguese village begins its centennial celebration to commemorate the victory over the evil Knight Templar cult.

The undead Templars, however, have other things in mind, as they rise and begin to decimate the revelers.

A small group of would be survivors - including the hilariously hammy town mayor - take shelter and try to make it through the night.

Regardless of de Ossorio's limited budget and the recycling of some footage from the first movie, the Templars remain one of horror's few, great original creations.

Capped off with a creepy, atmospheric ending.

Also known as El Ataque de los Muertos Sin Ojos and Attack of the Blind Dead.

Followed by two more sequels: Horror of the Zombies (1974) and then Night of the Death Cult (1975).
