After angry husband Nicola (Treviglio) discovers his wife Sarah has been less than faithful, the two have a heated row which ends in Nicola leaving home.

But as Sarah showers, she's brutally stabbed to death by an unseen killer. '

Just as the cops hone in on Nicola as the most obvious suspect in Sarah's murder - he's shot dead by police!

Soon, more young women begin to die at the hands of some local maniac.

Teaming up with Investigator Terzi (Malco), criminal psychologist Anna (D'Obici) tries to persuade him that the real psycho is a serial killer named Franco Tribbo - a loony known as 'The Midnight Killer.'

This enjoyable Made-for-TV slasher from Bava can't match his Blade in the Dark (1983). But few things could, and this still has a noteworthy level of spunk to carry things through.

Claudio Simonetti's punchy score adds to the fun.
