This TV sequel to Roman Polanski's 1968 classic Rosemary's Baby is rather unfairly maligned.
We didn't say it was a superior effort. But considering what it has to live up to, it's not that terrible.
The story: Satan's son Adrian (McHattie) is now grown up and ready for the test of pure possession of evil by the devil.
But Adrian seems conflicted, hesitant. The coven - still headed by Roman Castavet (Milland, this time) and wife Minnie (Gordon again) - is beginning to get disappointed in Rosemary's devil spawn.
Will Adrian rise to the challenge? If he doesn't, will he be killed? And who would take his place as the new child of Year One?
Odd & often inconsistent, this still has an interesting story arc and lively guest performances from Gordon & Milland.
Best scenes: Rosemary (Duke) spirited away by a driverless bus, and Adrian's wacko nightclub 'possession' scene real highlights. Don't trust anyone...not even sexy Louise or sweet blond Mills.
Also known as Rosemary's Baby II.
