|Long before Chris Carter had the bright idea of transferring a hit show to the big screen, Dan Curtis beat him to it.
In this superior vampire tale, Jonathan Frid is excellent as Barnabas Collins, the debonaire vampire who arrives at the Collinswood estate alleging to be a cousin from England.
Hoping to be cured of his "curse," he intends to marry the woman who reminds him of a past love from long ago.
But will Barnabas find a treatment that will work? What will happen if he doesn't?
Beautifully shot with a plot and script that plays more like a soap opera than horror film, this comes highly recommended. Great Dan Curtis stamp on it.
