An intriguing premise is given decent life in this modest TV chiller from the director of 1975's Legend of Lizzie Borden.
A group of ultra rich vacationers travel to the secluded island resort Portals of Eden...an idyllic paradise for the megawealthy.
But once there, strange phenomena begins to occur. A tropical storm cuts off virtually the entire flow of electricity. The staff comprised of local natives mysteriously disappears.
Soon, the sorry posse of tourists begin to suspect that their precious 'Portals of Eden' is really the gateway to each of their own final destinies...and that they've long since arrived. For good.
An excellent ensemble cast, each performer pulls their own weight. A thematic gimmick nowadays overused, but here it's presented freshly, with a brooding sense of atmosphere throughout.
