Interesting little Larry Cohen film has detective Lo Bianco investigating a rash of seemingly senseless mass murders where the perpetrators claim they were instructed by God to kill.
As clue after clue leads to a Jesus-like savior orchestrating the proceedings, the detective unwittingly discovers a startling realization about himself.
A supernatural-cum-sci-fi sleeper making good use of its NYC locale, interesting bit parts for Dennis and Sidney and a bravura play from lead Lo Bianco make this a nice low budgeter winner and heads above most of Cohen's other work.
Also known as Demon.
