The delightful Berridge (Wolfie's girl in Amadeus) heads up the cast as she and a group of friends find themselves inadvertently locked in a circus funhouse overnight...only to find that a deformed monster prowls the hidden catacombs along with them!

Some good thrills n' chills therein, with a nicely created sleazy carnival atmosphere and just a dash of Hooper's typical grit.

Sylvia Miles is onhand to inject some eccentric cult vibes. The whole pace builds to a feverish intensity highlighted by a decent crescendo.
