Troubled telekinetic Tina mistakenly unanchors Jason from his watery grave at the lake bottom (see end of Part VI: Jason Lives) and thus restores the hideous scarred one to life in this seventh outing for the Friday the 13th series.
By now, this is clearly horror for the attention span-challenged: with an excessively high bodycount (& yet so little *actual* gore!) as well as too many blandly drawn characters to inventory.
The oh-so-Carrie-esque ending briefly captivates, but is utterly undone by the silly 'resurrection' of Tina's father.
Marks the first outing of Hodder (rather bewildering Friday the 13th fan favorite) as Jason.
Fake sets, exceptionally well-lit and not enough blood. Is that a winning formula for un-scary or what?
Also known as Friday the 13th: The New Blood - Part 7.
