Jean and Bob Mitchell (Leachman and Coleman) are a couple traveling through the Arizona desert on their way back to California from a vacation.

They stop at a hostile cafe in an isolated area. And when Jean returns from the washroom, she discovers her husband is gone.

She soon finds out how unhelpful and malicious the locals are to city people when she tries to get help.

Wonderfully acted by all, with a suspenseful teleplay written by Richard Matheson and based on his short story.

Leachman shows why she was one of the finest actresses around, in both film and television, during the 1970s.
