| Considering its lauded status, this 1945 classic somehow fell just a little below our expectations. But make no mistake it's still a strong anthology of horror short stories.
The concept? A group of people gather at an English country house (full of mood and atmosphere); sparked by one visitor's insistence of a deja vu-type dream, each individual proceeds to tell a creepy vignette.
Hands down, our favorite has to be the tale of a murdered child and her ghost.
Solid acting and a few original twists/surprises give this one its rightful place among classic ghost chillers and surely rates as a great fireside watch.
Not to be confused with Dan Curtis' 1977 telehorror anthology of the same name.
