Stuck in a deadend salon job, Angela (Thornton) gets a gig as a fashion model and soon she's making a little money, has some exciting friends...only she's nervous her ex-boyfriend may be a stalker psycho out to ruin her life...or worse, murder her.
This Australian thriller doesn't quite know what it wants to be when it grows up: two parts Eyes of Laura Mars, one part wannabe slasher.
Still, has some interesting vibes to recommend it, including a memorable (at times, lively) score. Attractive Contouri (from the offbeat, but interesting Thirst) lends some colorful support as Angela's best friend.
Retitled thus to cash in on the success of John Carpenter's indie smash Halloween (1978).
Also known as Snapshot and (to confuse matters even further) as The Day Before Halloween.
Gotta love the "Angela" theme song!
