Rather underrated sequel to Creepshow (1982) holds its own in our esteem.
In Old Chief Wooden Head, a quaint general goods store in the southwest is robbed, and its ma and pa owners brutally massacred. No problem. The carved-wooden Indian standing guard outside the store comes to life (in true Ray Harryhausen-style) and goes on the warpath to avenge his dead "parents"! An excellent segment.
The second story - The Raft - tells what should have been a peaceful, sunny afternoon for four teens who camp out on a raft in a tranquil lake: until a strange 1950s -style oil slick monster traps them on the water.
The final segment - The Hitchhiker - has Lois Chiles tormented by a hitchhiker she accidently slaughtered, an undead lowlife intent on making her feel guilty...at any cost.
Not a bad horror trilogy by any means, and a decent followup to the original 1982 installment.
