Coma (1978)
|
|
| 113 min.
| Directed by Michael Crichton.
| With Genevieve Bujold, Michael Douglas, Richard Widmark, Elizabeth Ashley, Rip Torn, Lois Chiles, Tom Selleck, Ed Harris.
| Super exciting thriller about a hospital where patients are being put into comas and whose body parts and organs are being sold to private buyers.
The lead character, a nurse, is played expertly by Genevieve Bujold. Exciting, and contains some of the elements we love best, with Bujold going from feelings of paranoia to a determination to uncover the sinister plot.
Only a film from the 1970s could create such a believable and intense environment of fear and paranoia, interchangably both imagined and real.
