Made for TV tribute to the Val Lewton B films of the 1940s, this enjoyable horror revolves around the theft of an amulet from the mummy of an Egyptian priestess and a curse unleashed on those who come into contact with it.
The unfortunate victims are found scratched, bitten and drained of blood.
A young Meredith Baxter is the mysterious girl who wanders into Sondergaard's antique store, The Sorceror's Shop...and who may not be all she's cracked up to be.
Affectionate homage to an earlier era, helped by a cast of seasoned veterans and sure-fire direction by the reliable Curtis Harrington.
The clever screenplay was written by Robert Bloch. Never released on video.
