Brainwaves (1983)
|
|
| | 80 min.
| | Directed by Ulli Lommel.
| | With Keir Dullea, Suzanna Love, Vera Miles, Tony Curtis, Percy Rodrigues, Eve Brent Ashe.
| | A head-trauma victim (Love, director Lommel's wife) undergoes a radical brainwave transplant, unaware that "horrifying" memories of the donor's murder were also passed on...much to the killer's chagrin.
Handicapped by predictable plotting and Lommel's humorless, heavy-handed direction, yet oddly entertaining for some reason. Curtis looks embarrassed as an unscrupulous doctor, but Dullea is sincere and Miles is appealing as Love's mom.
Fine Pino Donaggio-esque score by Robert O. Ragland helps.
