Passable Italian slasher from genre director Ruggero Deodato (1979's grossout Cannibal Holocaust).
Troubled couple Robert (Hess) and Julia (Farmer) run a campground supposedly set atop an ancient Indian burial site. So when a rowdy group of visiting young campers begin to meet death one by one at the hands of a blade wielding killer, could a shaman boogeyman be to blame?
This okay stalk pic is clearly inspired by the best of the Friday the 13th franchise; but while it ticks off the bodies in rapid fashion, Count never really manages the frenzied hysteria necessary for a genre gem.
Horror regular Farmer and exploitation baddie Hess are a joy to see together. Question: why does everyone gravitate towards that grimy ass bathhouse? Stay away!
Also known as Camping del terrore.
