Bad acting, and a pace way too slow for this kind of movie sink it. We had high hopes for it and wish to someday see a great horror film in a beach setting (besides Jaws).

Still...there *is* something disturbing about something moving just under your feet in a permeable surface like sand...ready to surface at its own choosing...so if that blows your skirt up, by all means check out this subpar effort. Just keep your expectations realistic.
