Good TV horror movie that inspired the later theatrical subgenre of films which includes Fatal Attraction (1987), Single White Female (1992), The Stepfather (1987), and especially The Hand That Rocks the Cradle (1992).
Stephanie Zimbalist is excellent as the unbalanced young woman who takes a job at the home of a wealthy couple. Soon she's coming on to the father (the always hammy William Shatner), and encouraging his wife (Patty Duke) to drink heavily.
Oh, and people have mysterious, injurious accidents along the way.
Overall, a pretty good film with a beautiful score, this was director Peter Medak's follow-up to The Changeling (1980).
