Awakening from a long hibernation, Ripley (Weaver) joins a group of mouthy Marines on a mission to investigate a planet besieged by aliens...but now Ripley fully understands the death challenge.

Full of first rate action that - once ignited - never lets up, Aliens finds itself much a James Cameron film in the same way the original had Ridley Scott's stamp all over it.

Weaver's return as Ripley conjures up the same thoughtful magic from 1979 and here was nominated for an Academy Award for her performance. Long running time, but with so much suspense and edge of your seat fun, you won't ever notice.

Followed by Alien 3 in 1992.
